Yay! My FFVII ACC came today (along with 2 of my textbooks)! It was estimated to arrive on the 6th so I'm really happy. And yes, the first thing I looked at was the FFXIII 'sneak peek' but was dissappointed that it's only another trailer that's already on the net. Shouldn't be surprised really, but I was hoping for a little more. But it is cool to see it on a tv screen, makes the graphics look a lot better.
Btw, what the hell is up with Blu-Ray menus? Why does the text have to be so freakin' small, I can't figure out what I select until it starts up. I know BRs are for the graphics and all, but for menus?
I am watching it at the moment, in English first cause I'm too lazy and tired to read subtitles right now (part where the shadow creature things (athat remind me of demented heartless XD) are terrorizing the city around the statue). Have to say, I was a little skeptical at first, thinking that it really wasn't much different. Yea the story is the same, they pretty much just filled in spots with more dialogue and action, but I think it actually helps a lot more than expected. I think I understand the story a bit more. And the little filler scenes string the story together so there's no 'where did so-and-so go? What happened? How did they get here or there? ' And I was kinda afraid that the parts they added in would look different and throw everything off, but they managed to make it exactly the same, so graphics don't seem too much different, although the lifestream seems to sparkle more (?). And I'm glad for the action, its slightly mor intense and they actually have blood and dirt furing the battle like a real one would, but without the unneccesary full-on gore factor.
Thing I don't get is if they were gonna do this anyways, why not just wait a few years to finish it and then release the full enhanced version? Cheapos tryign to make more money D:<

Oh yea, I don't think I've ver heard Rude talk so much before, that was cool. I love him, he's hilarious. He remids me of Joe from The Princess Diaries XD
Reno makes me laugh...mostly cause he's an idiot, but also now I can't stop thinking of Axel cause of his voice. And speaking of voices, even I have to admit...Vincent's English voice is hot. And I never, ever feel that way about actors or whatever, even animated characters. Oh and plus side, the dialogue's mostly the same but some is edited so it's not so awkward sounding, like when Denzel says "Son of a bitch!", it sounds normal instead of "Son of a ...bitch!"
Lol watching it again, I'm remembering when I first noticed some things, like the Turks jackets are blazers but they have zippers. And I remmeber the first time I watched this movie and at the end Red XIII says something and I was like *gasp* IT TALKS :O (I've never played the game so I have a very vague and basic knowledge of the story and characters and such.
And even thought the audio editing is better, they still really need to work on English dubs. There's just not enough emotion in the dubs. And it sometimes sounds like its forced or the actor is really aware of their voice being recorded and itheir trying too hard to not screw it up or something.
I have never realized until now how much Yazoo creeps me out. Especially in English...which is weird for some reason but it is nonetheless. Kadaj is still a whiney mama's boy, Loz is still a clunky dumbass, and Yazoo...is just...*shudder* I dunno, just something about that dude/chick/person thing.
